MacCard, formerly the McMaster University ID Card, has been connecting students with essential services and resources since the 1990’s. The program has expanded over the years to even include partners in the greater Hamilton community. Our partners can accept MacCard as a method of payment, a digital ticket to events, a means of validating eligibility for services, and more!
We utilize a wide range of resources to promote our amazing partners. Advertising streams include social media, our webpage, promotional booths, print materials, and screens displayed throughout campus.
If you’d like to learn more about partnering with MacCard, please reach out.
Expandable List
Payment Method:
The Retail Operations balance on the MacCard works like a debit card. Users preload funds that can be used at any of our partner locations.
Service Eligibility:
Leveraging the CheckIn app, compatible devices can be configured to validate an account holders eligibility with a single tap.
Events & Digital Tickets:
MacCard can work as a digital even ticket, allowing you to validate entry with a single tap and get reports for running attendance analytics. Note: This is only available for events solely open to MacCard account holders.
Have your own event software?
Send us the list of participants and we can set up our loaner devices to validate entry.
Don’t have your own event software?
Send us the basic details and we can set up the event in our system. MacCard users will be able to purchase tickets directly from their accounts.
